Westar Herbicide, The Key to Rapid Plant Establishment - Grow Larger Trees with Stronger Roots

Westar Herbicide delivers both contact and residual activity for season-long control of key broadleaf weeds as well as annual and perennial grasses in conifers grown for forestry and Christmas tree production as well as non-crop sites.

Growing larger trees starts with a strong root system. Better roots start with Westar Herbicide. Controlling herbaceous weeds reduces competition for water, light and nutrients, helping conifer plantations to grow faster. Plus, it improves applicator productivity by offering broad-spectrum weed control without the hassle of tank-mixing multiple products.

Westar herbicide is an exceptional pre- and post-emergent herbicide that controls or suppresses many annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, an essential step in the establishment of Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, Sitka Spruce and other labeled western conifers. It’s also ideal for control in Christmas trees such as Douglas, Fraser, Grand and Noble Firs, Colorado Blue Spruce and Scotch Pine.

Westar Herbicide makes conifer site preparation and release easier and faster.

Westar Herbicide may be applied prior to planting conifers or over the top of dormant seedlings. One application reliably controls downy brome, fleabane, Italian ryegrass and sedges and other tough species. Excellent product suspendibility aids consistent and uniform spray coverage and re-suspends easily after delays for rain and wind for added convenience.

  • Re-suspends effectively, for fewer problems after wind or rain delays
